Setup guide

Everything you need to get Casper running on Snapchat Web — usually in about five minutes.

Requirements

• A desktop or laptop with Chrome (or Edge, Brave, Arc). The computer has to stay on and awake while Casper works.
• A Snapchat account logged in at web.snapchat.com.
• Casper credit — buy a pack on the pricing page. No AI account or API key needed.
• Your profile link (Fanvue or any other page you want to share).
• Optional but recommended: Telegram on your phone.

Install

1. Buy credits. Your license key (starts with csp_) appears at checkout and is emailed to you. Download Casper (.zip). Unzip the folder somewhere permanent (don't delete it later — Chrome loads it from there).
2. Open chrome://extensions, switch on Developer mode (top right), click Load unpacked and select the Casper folder.
3. Click the puzzle icon in the toolbar and pin the ghost.
4. Open web.snapchat.com and log in. The Casper panel appears at the top of the page.

Settings (popup)

Click the ghost in the toolbar. Every change applies immediately — no page reload.

• Assistant active — master switch.
• Casper license key — paste the csp_… key. Your balance appears right under it, with buttons to top up or open your account.
• Profile link — what Casper shares when a fan asks for more. Also fills {PROFILE_LINK} in your persona.
• Model — grok-4-1-fast is the recommended default. Stronger models use roughly 6–10× more credit per reply.
• Compact rules — Casper's own rules in a short form (≈ 3× fewer tokens per call).
• AI notes — after you confirm a conversion, Casper extracts name, location and interests from the chat.
• Entering chats — Slow (1×), Medium (1.5×), Fast (2×). Only affects pauses between chats, not reading/typing speed.
• Friend requests — optional auto-accept with daily/hourly limits (default 30/day, 6/hour). Off by default.

Writing your persona

Describe who you are and how you text — age, vibe, style, emojis, boundaries. Keep it short. You don't need to write rules for links, repetition, HOLD or formatting — Casper adds those itself.

Draft & Auto

• Draft (default): the suggestion is placed in the message box. You review and press Enter. Casper never switches chats for you.
• Auto: Casper sends with a natural reading and typing delay (about 1–7 s), leaves the chat and opens the next unread one. Toggle it with the switch in the panel or /on /off on Telegram.

Links & conversions

• The link is reactive: Casper only shares it after a fan asks for more.
• After the link, Casper follows up a limited number of times (max 4). If the fan goes quiet, the chat closes and waits for your decision (🔗 Links tab / /linkovi).
• When a fan writes something like “done” or “just subscribed”, the chat appears in 💚 To review. Compare with your subscriber list and confirm ✓ — or choose ✗ Not: continue now, re-engage in 12 h, or no potential (closes the chat for good).

HOLD decisions

When a chat touches something sensitive — a possible minor, refunds, a real family member, extreme requests, someone really leaving, or a crisis — Casper marks it 🚨 HOLD. The reply is never inserted or sent, and in Auto mode the bot leaves the chat immediately.

• ✅ Continue — approve; the same reason won't stop this chat again for 24 h.
• 🔒 Close chat — Casper won't return to it.
• ⏰ Snooze 6 h — skipped for six hours.

Telegram setup

1. In Telegram open @BotFather → /newbot → follow the steps and copy the token.
2. Paste the token in the Casper popup under Telegram.
3. Open your new bot in Telegram and send it /start.
4. Click 🔗 Pair in the popup, then ✉️ Send test, then Save.
5. Optional: 👻 Set bot name & picture brands your Telegram bot as Casper.

Only your private chat can send commands. Use one token per browser.

Telegram commands

By design there are no remote commands that delete data or bulk-confirm conversions.

Credits & costs

Casper is pay-as-you-go. You buy credit (from $25), and each reply takes a small amount — about $0.0036 on the default model. Images, snaps, note extraction and stronger models cost more. There's no subscription and nothing renews.

• The 💰 button in the panel shows your balance and updates after every reply.
• The 📊 Stats tab shows what you spent per chat and per day.
• Below $2 you get a Telegram alert. At $0 the bot pauses until you top up — nothing is lost.
• Top up any time from the popup (＋ Buy credits) or on your account page, with the same key.

To make credit last longer: keep Compact rules on, keep the persona short, and use the default fast model.

Troubleshooting

Casper doesn't reply

Check the popup pill says Active, the license key is set and has credit, and the chat isn't on HOLD, closed or snoozed (see the banner in the panel). On Telegram, /status shows the state.

“Bot stopped” on Telegram

The Snapchat tab stopped sending its heartbeat — the computer slept, the tab froze or the internet dropped. With auto-recover on, Casper refreshes the tab after 8 minutes. If Chrome is closed or the PC is off, nothing can be sent.

Error messages

401 — the license key is wrong (check it in the popup). 402 — out of credit, top up. 403 — the license is blocked, contact support. 503 — the AI service is briefly unavailable; Casper retries on the next message. You get a Telegram alert at most every 30 minutes per error type.
