Download Casper, add it to Chrome and paste your license key. No coding, no AI account — just follow the five steps below.

casper.zip553 KBChrome · Edge · Brave · Arc

  1. 1

    Download & unzip

Click Download Casper above. Open your Downloads, right-click casper.zip and choose Extract All (Windows) or just double-click it (Mac).

Move the casper folder somewhere permanent, like Documents. Chrome runs Casper from that folder, so don't delete it.

  2. 2

    Open the extensions page

In Chrome, copy this address into the address bar and press Enter:

    chrome://extensions

Using Edge? Type edge://extensions. Brave: brave://extensions.

  3. 3

    Developer mode → Load unpacked

Switch on Developer mode in the top-right corner. Three buttons appear — click Load unpacked and select the casper folder.

Pick the folder that has manifest.json directly inside. If Windows made casper › casper, choose the inner one.

  4. 4

    Pin the ghost

Click the puzzle piece in Chrome's toolbar, find Casper and click the pin. The ghost now sits next to your address bar — one click opens the settings.

  5. 5

    Paste your license key

Click the ghost and paste your key (it starts with csp_) into Casper license key. Your balance shows up right under it.

The key was shown at checkout and emailed to you. Lost it? Sign in to your account to see it again. No key yet? Buy credits.

That's it — open Snapchat Web

Log in at web.snapchat.com and the Casper panel appears at the top of the page. Start in Draft mode for a day, then write your persona.

Updating to a new version

  1. Download the new casper.zip from this page.
  2. Replace the files inside your existing casper folder (same folder, same place).
  3. Open chrome://extensions and click ↻ on the Casper card.

Your key, persona and settings stay — nothing to set up again.

Something not working?

I don't see “Load unpacked”

Turn on Developer mode — the switch in the top-right corner of the extensions page.

“Manifest file is missing or unreadable”

You picked the wrong folder or the .zip itself. Unzip first, then select the folder that has manifest.json directly inside.

The panel doesn't show on Snapchat

Reload the web.snapchat.com tab once after installing, and check that the switch on the Casper card is on.

Can I use it on my phone?

No — Casper is a desktop Chrome extension. The computer has to stay on while it works. You can still control it from your phone through Telegram.
